Plateau Excavation Hyundai Project Featured in the New York Times

On May 26, 2023, The New York Times published an online article featuring the Hyundai and LG Battery plant coming to Georgia. A version of this article appears in print in the New York Times on May 27, 2023, Section B, Page 4 of the New York edition with the headline: Hyundai Plans Georgia Plant Along With LG.

Plateau Excavation is proud to be laying the groundwork for this site through grading, excavation, and underground utility work.

This Hyundai project is generating a lot of press due to the size of the site and the amount of earth being moved. The site is over 600 acres and Plateau will move close to 14 million cubic yards of dirt. We have over 200 machines running on this site and have worked day and night to stay ahead of schedule on this project.

This is the latest clean energy facility to come to the state. The project is expected to bring 3,000 new jobs to southeast Georgia by the end of 2025.
