Amazon Garner (Project Axis)
Overview
Project Axis is a 2.6-million-square-foot Amazon sort and distribution facility in Garner, North Carolina. Plateau Excavation let site development and wet utilities on this site.
The site, which was formerly a food processing facility, includes just under 1,800 surface automobile parking spaces, 200 trailer storage spaces, requires more than 75 acres of disturbance, and incorporates two massive underground stormwater detention devices.
Project Description / Details
Plateau Excavation led the site development on this 72-acre project, moving 225,000 cy of earth as well as soil cementing the building pad and crane roads. Plateau Excavation installed one of the largest Old Castle Storm Capture systems on the east coast.
