TK Test Tower

Overview

The TK Elevator Test Tower and Innovation and Qualification Center (IQC) is a 420 ft tall, 216,292 sq ft elevator research, testing, and training facility at The Battery Atlanta. The Test Tower includes 18 elevator shafts while the adjacent low-rise IQC building is an integral part of the research and testing process.

Project Description / Details

Plateau Excavation performed all of the sitework for the new TK Elevator Test Tower at the Battery Atlanta as well as all of the sitework and earthmoving for Three Ballpark Center. The TK Elevator Test Tower project required blasting next to AGL and Colonial Pipeline gas and fuel oil transmission lines and also required shoring walls.
