Bradley Carroll is President and CEO of Plateau Excavation. Brad began his career with Plateau Excavation in January 2011 when the company acquired Aiken Grading Company. Prior to the acquisition, Brad had served as Executive Vice President / Chief Operating Officer with Aiken Grading Company since 2000. In April 2021, Brad became the President of Plateau.
Brad is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Georgia and holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Nate Hrinsin is currently the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President for Plateau Excavation and possesses over 25 years of finance operations experience. Nate started his career in public accounting as an auditor with Deloitte and has held various financial roles at Fortune 500 companies with increasing levels of responsibility. Prior to joining Plateau, Nate was the Vice President of Finance for our parent company, Sterling Infrastructure, Inc.
As Chief Financial Officer, Nate is responsible for the accounting function and other day-to-day operational duties, including monthly and quarterly closes and management reporting. He supports the President in evaluating our current work in progress and our overall business to provide critical support for strategic and operational decisions, as well as management of the annual budget targets and ongoing financial forecasts.
Nate is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Catawba College and a Master of Accounting from North Carolina State University.

David Shewchuk began his career with Plateau Excavation in January 2011 when Plateau acquired Aiken Grading Company. Prior to the acquisition, David had served as a Senior Project Manager with Aiken since 2001. During the transition to Plateau Excavation, David became Vice President of Preconstruction.
As Senior Vice President of Preconstruction, David brings over 20 years of experience managing and pricing heavy civil projects to Plateau where he oversees the estimating group and manages client relationships and the subcontractor network. Additional duties include monitoring the ever-changing construction market and interacting with the Vice President of Construction and the President to ensure client expectations are not only met but exceeded.
David holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology from Southern Polytechnic State University.

As Senior Vice President of Construction, Ryan possesses over 22 years of heavy civil experience. He is the nexus between the construction teams, Vice President of Equipment and the management team for all projects across the Southeast.
Ryan facilitates the resolution of internal issues with Plateau’s production along with external issues such as site conditions and client requests. He works closely with the Vice President of Preconstruction to monitor upcoming workload and has experience pricing, managing and overseeing residential, commercial, industrial and landfill projects from Texas to Virginia. Additionally, Ryan maintains existing client relationships and is instrumental in developing new partnerships. He also works closely with the subcontractor network that supports our projects.
A graduate of The State University of West Georgia, Ryan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Development.

John Osterland joined Plateau Excavation in January 2011 as part of the Aiken Grading Company acquisition. Prior to Plateau, beginning in 2003, he held the position of Project Manager at Aiken Grading, handling commercial and industrial grading and utility projects. These duties continued with Plateau through 2016.
In 2017, John was promoted to Vice President. In 2023, John was promoted to Senior Vice President. He currently oversees preconstruction services for mission critical and mega-projects along with support for the project management staff.
John attended Southern Polytechnic State University and has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology.

Greg Farr joined Plateau Excavation in April 2012 as an equipment manager. In 2017 he was promoted to Vice President of Equipment, responsible for maintaining the 800+ earthmoving machines, support vehicles and fleet trucks. Greg works closely with the President and VP of Construction to determine capital expense, fleet modernization and fleet growth. He maintains a close relationship with both Yancey Bros. and Caterpillar, giving Plateau early access to the latest technological upgrades and equipment offerings. Additionally, Greg manages a fifty-person team dedicated to meeting the service and logistics needs of the fleet. This enables Plateau to consistently operate at peak performance for our clients.
Greg holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Chattahoochee Technical College.

With an extensive background in civil engineering, Joe understands the demands required for overseeing technically challenging, large-scale projects. After all, before joining Plateau, he designed several himself, including MLB’s Truist Park development and the Porsche Cars North America headquarters and track in Atlanta.
As Vice President of Operations, Joe’s deep insight and experience managing supply chain, cost controls and suppliers, as well as coordinating with subcontractors, are an integral part of Plateau’s overarching and extensive engineering offering. Joe is an invaluable contributor to the company’s approach to the design, management and construction of large-scale excavation and site preparation projects.
A graduate of Clemson University, Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He also has a Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis on Finance from Clemson University. Additionally, Joe is a licensed contractor operating as registered agent in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Mississippi.

As Corporate Safety Director with Plateau Excavation, Joseph is responsible for providing direction, oversite, and management of Plateau’s safety programs, including safety, health, and environmental site-specific programs. His duties include job site inspections, maintaining safety records, SDS manuals and establishing and monitoring site-specific safety plans. He possesses over 15 years’ experience in the civil construction industry in managing both operations and safety. Joseph has worked on several large construction projects throughout the Southeast and has developed various workplace safety programs and operational safety procedures.
