Plateau People – Aria Morgan, Marketing Director

EVR 2

With a strong foundation built on people, quality craftsmanship, and innovation, Plateau Excavation has become a leader in tackling advanced, large-scale and complex site development projects, but it is our people that truly make the difference and have moved the company forward.

Meet Aria Morgan, Marketing Director

  • How many years have you been at Plateau Excavation? A little over a year – since February 2023
  • What’s your job title? Marketing Director
  • What exactly do you do at our company? I manage everything that revolves around our brand. I manage our digital footprint—social media, website, press, etc. I also manage everything with our logo on it—promotional items, shirts, etc. I help with our hiring initiative and employee appreciation and engagement.
  • So far, what has been your favorite project? Hyundai SK Battery in Kingston, GA—this was the first site that I stepped foot on. It was massive, covering over 600 acres. It was amazing to see the number of machines and people out there.
  • How would you describe your team or the people you work with? The best! Everyone works hard and is passionate about what they do. The pride for Plateau is strong.
  • What is your favorite aspect about your job, Plateau, or the industry? My favorite part of my job is being able to spotlight others. I love being able to showcase the hard work that others do and seeing their family members share and comment on how proud they are is the best part about social media to me. The work is hard, and so many people don’t realize the hours, the heat, the cold, and everything that goes into it – so just showing some appreciation and acknowledgment is what I enjoy the most.
  • What advice would you give to someone wanting to be a part of the industry? I believe anyone can find a place in construction. There are so many opportunities and roles. It’s great to be a part of an industry that is so pivotal to society. It’s hard work. It’s early mornings. It can be hot days and cold days. But you’ll never be bored, and it’s always worth it!
  • What originally drew you to Plateau? I grew up in the construction industry, so I’ve always appreciated the work. After meeting with Brad about a marketing opportunity with Plateau, I knew this was where I was meant to be. I jumped on board and couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
  • What is something unique about you (a fun fact) that few people are aware of? In college, I was on the Tomahawk Team for the Atlanta Braves (a Braves girl). Go Braves!
  • If you could be any machine, what would you be?  777
  • Anything else to share? I am proud to say that I just became a CAT Crew Collaborative ambassador – The Crew Ambassador Program is a forward-thinking initiative focused on empowering thought leaders at every level and in every sector of the construction and skilled trade industries. This program is sponsored by Caterpillar, Inc.  As an Ambassador, I will learn speaking skills, personal & professional development tactics, and how to best engage with the local community to spread the word about the opportunity our industry offers.
