Walmart DC (Project Rosebud)
Overview
This Walmart distribution center will feature a 460,000-square-foot distribution facility and refrigerated warehouse on 132 acres.
The company said it plans to employ more than 450 people once the facility is operational. The project in total encompasses 592,830 square feet and 943 parking spaces.
This is the second massive distribution center Walmart has in the works in Central Florida. The retailer is creating 1,000 jobs at a new 2.2 million-square-foot, e-commerce distribution center in Davenport where Plateau Excavation was the site grader and utility contractor.
Project Description / Details
Moved 550,00 cubic yards of onsite material, 430,000 cubic yards of offsite material, installed over 27,000 lineal feet of storm pipe, installed over 70,000 lineal feet of erosion fencing, installed over 150,000 tons of stone, and pumped 182 million gallons of water offsite.
